WHO WE ARE

Deep Sonar is a collaboration between British Writer/Producer Chris Y., German Producer/VJ Friedrich D. & Montenegrin Producer/DJ Buba.

Known for their influential work in the electronic dance music (EDM) industry, Deep Sonar have teamed up with the Puccini Academy Orchestra to create unforgettable live performances that blend electronic beats with the rich sounds of a full orchestra.

The Puccini Academy Orchestra is a dynamic ensemble that has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, from classical musicians to pop stars. Together, Deep Sonar and the Puccini Academy Orchestra are bringing their unique fusion of electronic and orchestral music to sold-out crowds.

Writer/Producer/Mixer

Recording & Mixing

Based in his private studio in Kent just 1hr outside of London, Chris has built a wealth of experience from starting his career working in Sony Music Studios – London. Working in Studio 1 alongside Mike Ross Trevor as his mentor, recording 80+ piece orchestras for film scores including Academy Nominated ‘Girl With A Pearl Earring’ & ‘Finding Neverland’.

Chris recorded the famous orchestral TV adverts for Stella Artois and artists including Rod Stewart and Lionel Richie both in London and also in the Hit Factory Studios – New York.

Following this Chris owned and ran the West London based commercial recording studios Chestnut Studios for 15 years. The SSL facility had clients from Warner, Universal Music Group, Polydor, BMG, Island, EMI, Sony Music, RCA, Decca, BBC, ITV & many more.

Writing & Producing

Following his work as a recording and mixing engineer, Chris signed successive publishing deals with Universal Music & Global. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Nervo, Papa Roach, Mabel, James Bay, Kylie Minogue, Jason Derulo, Michael Flatley (River Dance), Ella Eyre & TV/Ad credits including Family Guy with Simon Cowell, Armani, Coca-Cola and Vodafone.

Chris co-produced the gold selling album by The Corrs, “White Light” and have also enjoyed international success in Asia with Girls Generation’s #1 selling “Party”.

Friedrich D.

Producer/DJ

Friedrich D. is a driven producer-artist-DJ originally from Hamburg. Getting his start in the craft at 17 years old, DJing house parties, school dances, and private and corporate events. He then started DJing at several Clubs in Germany, Austria & Switzerland.

He also got in on the business side of entertainment as a video producer in the music & automotive industries with projects for Bugatti, Porsche, Sony, Warner or Universal. He had his first set time on Streetparade in 2017 for the Animal Love Truck. Now he is joining the AudioPort Soundlab Team and working on new tracks. Keep an eye on FD!

DJ Buba, Producer

The legendary Montenegrin DJ and producer DJ Buba is well known in creating and shaping the electronic music scene. His music defined an entire mix of different sounds and emotional waves. His carer began as a teenager playing at private parties. At every event, artists could experiment with new music and create tunes for the community. DJ Buba was one of them. His live show and also his own Radioshow DISCONTROL every Monday on Radio Porto Montenegro are a mix of electro, deep house & tech through to minimal and progressive house music. DJ Buba’s talent lies in his ability to stretch songs for as long as he desires, giving the opportunity for dancers to vogue before it was even a term or a movement. His newest productions can’t wait for release and are coming soon on AudioPort Soundlab.
